CoVid-19 Safety Regulations

Due to the recent world affairs, Barrows House is taking steps to ensure the safety of our guests and staff while the lodging industry reopens.  Per the State of Vermont, please find the travel restrictions in place for guests looking to join us in Vermont: {CoVid-19 Travel Restrictions}

Due to safety protocols, specific guest rooms booked online may be moved to a comparable room if needed to ensure the ability to deep clean rooms between guests or to keep guests spread out throughout the property.  Your safety is our first priority and spacing out the guests we have joining us throughout the 8 buildings and cottages we have will ensure the most relaxing experience possible for you.  Housekeeping will deep clean your room prior to arrival and will deep clean the room after departure.  Mid-stay housekeeping services have been suspended at this time; but anyone at the Front Desk will be able to provide clean towels or extra toiletries upon request.

Reservations are recommended to dine in the restaurant, even for our lodging guests, so we do recommend making reservations ahead of time to ensure you are able to join us.  We do offer inside dining.  Our hours of operation are located on our dining page and are subject to change.

Robes are also provided in our luxury guest suites.

Barrows House Policies

– All rates are per room, double occupancy, include a full breakfast and gratuity, and are subject to change without notice. The charge is an additional $35 per person per night beyond two in the room. $25 nightly service charge added to all reservations.
– Check-in is from 3:00 pm. We will do our best to accommodate early check-in pending availability.
– Check-out time is normally 11:00 am. A late check-out may be pre-arranged, subject to availability, for a $50 fee.
– Please call to discuss extended stays.
– Minimum night stays may be required during peak and holiday times.
– We do allow dogs in a limited number of guestrooms and charge a $250 refundable deposit. There is also a $50 increment to the room rate per each night of a stay up to maximum of $250.
– We are a non-smoking inn. Noncompliance will result in a $100 surcharge.

Deposits/Cancellations/Deposit Refunds

To confirm reservations, a deposit of one night’s lodging is required for one and two night stays. A deposit of 50% is required for stays of three nights or longer. Shortening the length of your stay or failure to check-in on the scheduled arrival date will result in the loss of the deposit.  An early check-out requires payment for the whole stay. When given at least 14 days notice of cancellation, we will refund the deposit less a $50 per-room processing fee.  All lodging reservations for weddings are subject to a 30 day cancellation policy with a $50 per room processing fee.  All rental homes are subject to a $100 cancellation fee.
