Eat Local Challenge - Care and feeding of blueberries. May 10, 10:30-12pm in East Dorset. Scott MacKenzie of Wildwood Farm is our local expert on raising blueberries. Scott presents a workshop on all aspects of successfully growing your own blueberries.
Manchester Loyalty Day Parade. May 18, 1 p.m.
New England Ringers Handbell Concert. May 18, 5 p.m. They're back! This highly energetic 14-member regional handbell ensemble performs on one of the largest handbell instruments in the northeast stretching 36 feet! Bell Hop Boogie and Blues to Prelude in C# Minor by Rachmaninoff to 50's rock, add a galloping rendition of the William Tell Overture and witness the amazing capabilities of the instrument and the dexterity and talent of the musicians. They have fun for sure! A reception follows the performance. Great concert experience for all ages! Located at The Meeting House at First Congregational Church of Manchester on Route 7A South (Main Street) Manchester Village, Vermont, Across form the Equinox Hotel.
Eat Local Challenge - Permaculture- Soil and Poultry. May 25, 1-3 p.m. Matt and Scout Proft run Someday Farm, winner of the 2006 VT Sustainable Farm of the Year. They grow great soil and great poultry and employ modern organic growing techniques. Come see where they grow turkeys and chickens, and water fowl, and see how they do it. Also hear about how to make great soil.

Manchester Music Festival Summer Concert Series - Concert one. July 10, 7:30 p.m. Opening its 34th summer concert season with guest artists, acclaimed violininst Jaime Laredo and cellist Sharon Robinson joining MMF's stellar faculty-artists for a program inluding chamber works by Sarasate, Kodaly and Dvorak. The concerts take place at the Arkell Pavilion (indoor venue) on the campus of the Southern Vermont Artrs Center, 1 mile off West Road on the side of Mt. Equinox.

Vermont Antiques Dealers' Association Antiques Show.
