Whenever I can I like to go out and about and experience new things.  Restaurants, Bars, Inns, Hotels, Sites and Sounds…

Last week I got to do some traveling like I hadn’t done in years.

In Boston I ate Oysters and Cherry Stones at the Raw Bar in Boston’s oldest restaurant then went to the North End for spectacular Italian Food.

Down to Buzzard’s Bay for an Epic Lobster Roll.

Southport CT offered an awesome twist on Poached Eggs on Hash and the best fried pickles I’d ever had.

Stopped in Williamtown MA for an incredible Bone Marrow Custard and Chicken Liver Pate with Toasted Cherry Soda Bread.

Next stop San Francisco!photo 1

Dim Sum, Neighborhood bars, Puerto Rican take out, Chorizo Tortilla Scrambled Eggs, West Coast Oysters, Chorizo Firecrackers, Bacon Fried Oysters, a crazy German Bar, and a French brasserie that made the best martinis I’d had on the West Coast.

Why the rambling about my travels and food?

This was a week for me to not only enjoy my family and friends but to explore and find inspiration.  Inspiring food, inspiring service, inspiring presentations, inspiring hospitality!

I am grateful for the opportunities given to me in life and I love finding inspiration everywhere I look.  Next time you’re walking past that little hole in the wall restaurant consider stopping in.  Who knows what you’ll find!
